Often heard advise, “don’t sweat the details,” “keep an eye on the big picture,” etc. I have always been a big picture person, advises like these work particularly well for my taste. That is until now.
The lesson I come to appreciate is this: Life is not just the headliners, big picture tells incomplete stories (without the details), and little things matter.
Without the supporting casts, there is no headliners. And the details accentuate the big picture. The little things complement the majors and together they make up life as a whole.
So, true success comes from not overlooking the doormen, the janitors, and other “little” things. Because little things matter.
