Gifting For The Holidays

This time of the year, many folks are contemplating what presents to give to their friends and family.  So I thought this article by Florence Ong Kw titled Smile From The Heart, Share All You Have is quite fitting for the holiday season.

She makes many good points.  One in particular that I highlight is this, ” the only true and best gift is a portion of yourself; a good person’s life are the little nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.”

We often get carried away by the commercialism, sales and discounts, and forget the meaning of  the season.  Rather than wrenching over how much money to spend on gifts, we may spend time with our love ones, making a present, or writing a greeting, for example.

Thank you Florence for the reminder.
