It took the Capital by surprise.
The snow started to fall around the D.C. area this morning. Weather forecast last night had predicted 1 inch for today. The forecast got quickly switched this morning to a possibility of 6 inches as the area was blindsided by a much heavier snowfall.
Unexpected commuters were caught in the morning rush for hours on end (5 hours for some). Tone of the reporters on the radio reflected hundred and hundred automobile accidents. It was like the gift you never asked for but can’t refuse either.
Not a good day for many. I however was spared and given the beautiful scenery outside of my back window.
