Self Compassion

It is no secret that people are harder on themselves than others.  They are critical of themselves, cut themselves no slacks, and demand themselves beyond reason.

And the parodox is that we are supposed to be nice and helpful to others. Huh?

Reality is that unless we are kind to ourselves and forgive ourselves for our mistake, we can’t be nice and helpful to others.  Self compassion first.  Take care of self then others.

It is one of the most beautiful compensations of life
that no man can sincerely try to help another
without helping himself.
