Day 5 Week 2 – An Off Day?

Rest day, and a much appreciate break from the daily running.

My heels have been a bit tender due to the increased mileage of the marathon training. Not to mention the hard workout of cutdown runs yesterday.

Friend of mine is visiting and can not understand why anyone would participate in a marathon when the sport could “damage” your body. This concern hits home the need for proper training.

Risk exists in just about anything and anywhere.  Running a marathon is no exception. Prudent approach dictates knowledge, planning, and execution of a sport specific training. Or in short, quality training.

Therefore, I am taking advantage of this off day and practicing yoga.
