Day 1 Week 18 – 7 Miles Easy, Stride

When visiting places, one of my favorite practices is exploring by running (through the place).  You can catch more of the local scenes, happenings, and people than say in a moving vehicle.  It gives me a deeper appreciation than otherwise.

My son goes to school in Bloomington Indiana.  There I find a nice trail called B-line Trail that provided me opportunity to run today’s 7 miles easy (9:00 to 9:45) w/4 x 20 sec strides. Historically the trail used to be the where Mono railway that helped move goods to and from the east coast and brought prosperity to the area.

I recommend to any folks, runners or not, visiting Bloomington to check it out.  The trail stretches through downtown where restaurants, hotels, to the tree-covered path in the woods. It is definitely worth a visit.
