This week I posted more reflections and ran less. Probably had to do with what was happening in my life. A friend’s father passed away, San Bernandino shooting still on my mind, racism raring its ugly head from Islamic State to Donald Trump. To name a few.
Recognize that life is fragile and freedom is not free. They are, like many other things in life, what we make them to be. It is constant work and should not be taken for granted. As I listened to the candidate for Congress, I realized that it is hope that motivates and leads us to progress.
Hope for the better – better quality of life, health, security, community, standard of living. Sitting idle and letting life slips by is not an option I choose.
