Feeling Good After the Blizzard

After being cooped up in the house for 5 days thanks to the Blizzard of 2016, I finally got to go for a run this morning.

Many of the roads were still covered by the snow.  So my choices were limited.  I ended up running along the main road between the edge of the plowed snow and the white line.  It was a bit treacherous.  At a few spots, I had to encroach into the traffic lane.

Not sure how the motorists felt, but for me the 4 mile run was totally worth it.  As fellow blogger J.B. Riebel phrased it, “movement makes us sense and feel,” I definitely needed the run to revitalize my body.  Nice to get some fresh air in my lungs and circulations in my legs.

Afterwards, with renewed energy, I went back to shovel snow, something I have been doing for the past few days.
