Happy Chinese New Year!

If number tells a story, today marks year 4713, the Year of the Monkey, for million and million of people in China and around the world.

According to the Time Magazine, it also marks the world’s greatest annual migration of people, 2.91 billion trips.   Fortune calls it “the greatest travel nightmare of 2016.”  The rush hour traffics around Washington D.C. is bad but probably pale in comparison.

So more is not necessary better.

Speaking of numbers, I ran six miles this morning.  Two of which were tempo runs with 7.59 and 7.57 split.  The cold weather made me a bit winded with these tempos.  I was happy for sub 8 minutes to give my heart a workout.

Any idea why it is Red Fire Monkey year in China? Or how many countries around the world celebrate the new year?
