To Our Health

On a normal day, when everything is happening as usual, our health is the last thing we worried about.  Or put it another way, we overlook our health until we lose it.

All of a sudden, because we are sick, weather is not as good, food does not taste the same, people seems different.  Life’s simple pleasures lose their luster.

We become preoccupied with the physical, psychological pain. The pain that hijacks our senses and refuses to go away.  We are hostage to our own illness and misery.

Only if we can turn back the time, be more diligent in exercising, eating healthy, and recuperating.  Only if . . .

How are you keeping yourself healthy?  What do you sacrifice with health, or without health, given the inevitable fact of aging?

  1. I’ve been very health conscious since my twenties. I’m now approaching 65. I’ve been a vegetarian for the past 10 years. On a daily basis, I schedule activities that support my health. That being said, it’s so easy to neglect my health through laziness, distraction or desire for unhealthy things. Each day demands a new comittment on my part.

Thanks Moshe for sharing. Our health like any important value demands commitment like your daily activity is a great example. And that commitment will get challenged from within and without. How we answer the challenge defines our character and shape our life.
Best wishes in your pursuit and keeping your commitment.
