Summer Solstice 2016

True to form, summer solstice arrived today.  Temperature in Washington D.C. shot up to 90 degree Fahrenheit.  While not a coffee drinker, I must admit those advertisements for ice coffee beginning to sound pretty appealing.

Caffeine or not, I was lethargic on this first day of summer.  No sure if it is the residuals from the Father’s Day yesterday or the NBA Playoff last night.  Then again it could be my transition on this longest day into the summer siesta.

In any events, my training for the Harrisburg Marathon starts in a week (next Monday). It will last 20 weeks, leading to the marathon on 13 Nov 2016.  Looking forward to a healthy and efficient running season.

How are you preparing for the summer? Got a reading list going?
