Day 5 Week 20 – Dealing With Change

11/11/2016 – 7 AM run, cool, 3 miles easy

Dealing with lost differs with each individual.  Some ready to move on.  Some wallow in emotions. So it is understandable that reactions to the Tuesday election outcome varies as well.  In fact, strong reactions have been reported across the country and around the globe.

Transition is natural and necessary part of life.  People learn to deal with changes.  Some more successful than others.  Either way, that is how life returns to normalcy.  Hillary Clinton did a remarkable job with her concession speech by the way.

In that spirit, I find below quote from Franklin Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People instructive.  It offers me insight and consolation. Perhaps to you as well:

Be a model, not a critic.  Look at the weakness of others with compassion, not accusation.  It’s not what they are doing or should be doing that’s the issue.  The issue is your own chosen response to the situation and what you should be doing.
