Week In Review – 8 Jan 2017

No question that the main event this week was the arrival of the New Year and the associated transitions.   Also worthy mention was the gathering of my relatives including the out-of-town ones that came to share this holiday seasons with us.  Lively time for all.

On 3 January 2017, the First Day of the 115th Congress, I attended the swearing-in reception on Capital Hill for Congressman Raskin who was the candidate I campaigned for last year.  The mood at the reception was jovial but a tad of trepidation – no one knows for sure what the new president and his administration will bring.

Also with the new year, an anxiousness to get on with life and business is all too common. But as the saying goes, haste makes waste.  Without a plan, action is only motion with no direction.  Might as well take advantage of the timing to set that new year plan to avoid running in place.

I am grateful for making it to 2017.  I have learned plenty in 2016 and look forward to more this year.

Have a great week.
