3 mile easy pace, sunny & 72 degree.

Weather forecast for Sunday’s Erie marathon is “heavy rain and windy” with high temperature in the mid-60s.  While not ideal, inclement weather is however manageable while racing.

Here are the extra precautions I will use for this Sunday’s race:

  1. Wearing a hat
  2. Lot of lube to minimize chafing
  3. Running in a pack, or drafting, if necessary against headwind
  4. Staying dry and warm as long as possible
  5. Re-calibrating my expectation

What tips do you have for inclement weather?
