Heart Work Is Hard Work

Listening to or following your heart sounds deceptively easy.  All one needs to do is to listen deeply, find that voice from within, and follow it.  Simple, right?  What is my problem, you ask?

My challenge is I can’t find that voice no matter how deeply I tried to listen.

Part of my problems is I don’t have a specific purpose.  The heart work is like an area of focus to me.  No specific target.  Therefore, my heart space appears as vast as the Mojave. What to listen? And what to follow?  It’s like finding a needle in the hay stacks.

And the other problem is I tend to follow my head in daily life. I like logical steps and clear transitions in solving problems.  The appeal of reasoning over feeling makes my heart work even more elusive.

To be continued.
