While It Lasted

Nothing lasts forever.  Nothing. Not even love, because our memories fade over time. Details get fuzzy. Not to mention the finality of our mortal life.  Therefore, instead of trying to hold on to the impossible’s, live each moment to the fullest.

Yes, that last part may sound cliche and carpe diem like. But having a different intention does change one’s perspective.  By recognizing the inevitable (that everything will end), one is released from the pressure of trying too hard and transformed to the joy of empowered contentment.

So with the next encounter, be it an awe-inspired sunrise, dazzling blossom, or hearty tummy laugh, whatever that may be, embrace it with your heart. The moment will be precious while it lasted.

What are your precious moments?
