Week In Review – 13 Jan 2019

Humans have emotions.  Therefore, we can relate to each others.  We sympathize how others feel.  Emotions gives rise to unique human traits such as art and poetry.  Of course, there are downsides as well – regrets, aggression, greed, and destruction just to name a few.

Recognizing the transient nature of our emotions, the best we can choose is to live the moment while it lasted.   Trying to hang on or anticipate these emotional states is quite impossible.  Just like the seasons, they come and go according to the natural order.  No need to fight it.

This is how the winter showed its colors in the nation’s capital this week. Thanks to technology, forecaster were putting out warning by midweek.  Followed by the cold preceding the snow.  And Mother Nature did not disappoint.  Not only did we get snow but lots of them.

The snow maybe a diversion to the federal government partial shutdown which is now 22nd day and the longest in US history.  But even with all the political wranglings, I still prefer the government we have than the one in China.

Have a nice week!
