The War On Terror Continues

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead. In case you haven’t heard, Baghdadi, the exISIS leader, blew himself in a US Military raid conducted this past weekend in northwestern Syria.

The raid, like the one killed Osama bin Laden in 2011, is full of suspense and potential movie/ book deals.  Here is an inside look of the raid.  And same as the bin Laden news, the report of Baghadi’s death brings me relief.

Clearly a victory in the chapters of War on Terror.  However, the War, after launched by President George W. Bush 18 years ago, is not over.  From Al-Qaeda to ISIS, to whomever radical enough to fill the void, we will have  undoubtedly more fights to come.

But as President Bush said, we will “hunt down” these terrorists and their networks.  Not as revenge but to bring them to justice. For this past weekend, justice was served.

Do you agree with the US pulling out of Syria?
