Like many people, I like to think I am rational, calm, and collective. Being emotional and getting in touch with my feelings are descriptors I would not usually associate with myself. Well, I begin to realize that I am wrong in my way of thinking.
You see, feeling and thinking are inherent functions in all of us. While my preference is thinking, intuition is actually my dominant function according to the Myers Briggs Type Indicators. Intuition is a feeling and hard for me to describe.
So much so that I recognize feeling is actually the king, whether I like to admit it or not. We have feelings way before thinking. And those feelings govern deep inside of us on how we operate. So instead of shunning my feelings, I better get in touch with them.
