The Road Was Calling

The sun casted its brilliance through my windows.

The road was calling me.

I layered on my running gears because it’s freezing outside.

The road was calling me.

Yes, the gloves, mufflers, windbreaker, sweatpants and whole enchilada.

The road was calling me.

Less than a mile into the run, my heart wanted to jump out of my throat.

The road was calling me.

Am I out of shape or what? 10 pounds over my race weigh, that’s why. But,

the road was calling me.

So I ran 6 miles.  Because,

the road was calling me.

The End
