COVID-19 And US Politics

States confirmed with COVID-19 as of March 02, 2020

COVID-19 Status:  90,308 infected, 3,087 deaths, recovered 45,707 globally and  99, 6, & 9 respectively in the US.

At the same time, WHO says the number of new cases [of COVID-19] outside China was almost 9 times higher than that inside the country over the last 24 hours. If true, the virus is spreading with a vengeance worldwide.

President Trump tries to put a positive face about the COVID-19 development, but I wonder how many supporters will attend his rally tonight in North Carolina.  Combining with the ongoing flu season, seems risky to be in a crowded space despite best personal hygiene.

Furthermore, tomorrow will be the  Super Tuesday for US Presidential primaries.  Fourteen state primaries and the American Samoa caucuses are scheduled to take place. Would the people stay home instead?

Update: politicians are opportunists, just saying and not a value judgement
