Week In Review – 26 Apr 2020

Seems what our country needs in the midst of this COVID-19 outbreak are inspiration and leadership. But strange enough, both are hard to come by. Certainly not from our political leaders – not Messrs Trump, Biden, McConnell, nor Speaker Pelosi.

Even traditional faith institutions such as the organized religions offer little in ways of encouraging words about our future.  I suppose no one knows what will happen.  Therefore people are left to fend for themselves.  At least it feels that way.

No question, the situation is challenging, but we will get through it. What needed are our concerted efforts.  In addition to the essential workers like scientists, first responders, medical personnel, we all  should be pulling.  Social distancing is inconvenient but necessary to allow the system a chance to work.

So hang in there and stay safe.
