The US leads the world as a developed country with an advanced economy. So they say. We are highly specialized and flushed with material goods. The envy of the world. That is until the COVID-19 pandemic.
Peeling back the curtain, we are no better than others.
Our highly industrialized economy and associated specialization make us vulnerable to missing some of the most basic stuffs like the face mask. The virus swept through our cities and towns killing helplessly ninety-eight hundred thousands plus people. One-third of the total world’s casualties and twice more than UK, the second highest.
We are no better than others.
In fact, we may be worse off. One, we have become complacent, believing too much what others say and blind to our weaknesses. Two, we have lost leadership not only around the world but also domestically. The chaos from within speaks to the lives lost. And Three, we are nowhere close to Make America Great Again.
Not if we don’t change.
Do you think it’s time for us to be humble and face the truth?
Right. Humility along with respect, compassion, and critical thinking are in order right now to bring about positive change.

Much change is needed. Hopefully this global tragedy will initiate the change we need.
