The “Impossible” Of Retirement

Start by doing what‘s necessary;

then do what‘s possible;

and suddenly you‘re doing the impossible.

~St. Francis of Assisi*

Retirement helped me to move from doing what‘s necessary to what’s possible. My freedom, space, and responsibility was opened up when I retired. The possibilities are limited only by my imagination. Forget the bucket list. I am doing it.

Even in face of the Coronavirus pandemic, some of my options like traveling and socializing got eliminated, but new ones also opened up.  New possibilities like discovering my inner space through meditation and freedom of movement in my hip joints through yoga.

And while exploring  what’s possible, I am building my cathedral for the impossible.

*Gratitude to Theresa for the inspiration.

What’re necessary, possible, and impossible to you?
