Week In Review – 29 Aug 2021

Although the September 11 attacks on America was 20 years ago, what happened at the Kabul airport this week tells us that terrorists still at large. Whether they are abroad or domestic, we can’t completely root them out.  Evil people exist.

Meanwhile, we should not allow fears to run our lives (maybe that’s why so many are trying to leave the Afghanistan).  Instead, we need to stand firm and stare down the evils.  Such is the price of our human struggles. The journey is not an easy one, but neither is finding balance.

Here comes President Biden who has the unenviable job of ending this “forever” war.  Yes, it’s in his job description. Nevertheless, the fact that he leads with competency, emotional truth, and principle makes me grateful.  Because the War on Terror is far from over and probably never will.

Stay safe and have a nice week.
