While the weather is getting warmer, more in-person races are happening, Covid-19 pandemic notwithstanding. Are people so raring to go back-to-normal, they are throwing caution to the wind?
Case in point, this past Monday, over 25 thousand runners participated in the 126th Boston Marathon. This was against a backdrop of rising Covid-19 cases in the city. Is the reward of running this prestigious race outweighing the risk?
More people are vaccinated, boosted, or even sicken by the pandemic. But Covid-19 BA.2 variant does not care. That 25 thousand people at the starting line in Hopkinton is a sizable crowd. Not to mention the spectators at the finish in Boston.
What about you? Are you ready for in-person race?
