On this day, we honor the American service members who sacrificed their lives in defense of this country. It does not matter if they were male, female, LGBTQ. Neither if they were Republicans, Democrats, independents. Pro-life, Pro-choice or others.
Their diversities did not hold them back from making the ultimate sacrifice for us. For you and for me – without qualifiers. As we move forward, debating what the future holds, whichever issues seem to divide us, remember that we are foremost Americans.
We hold more in common than in our differences. And the sacrifices of the service members to keeping us the United States of America should not be in vain.
