Halloween (US) is supposed to be dressing up in costumes, trick-or-treating, and a time for a bit of fun-filled indulgences. No harm, and no fault.
As the fate would have it the outcomes this year turned out quite opposite for 154 people who lost their lives during a night out in Seoul due to crowd crush, or for Paul Pelosi who was beaten over the head by a stranger with a hammer for having the same last name as the US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (wife).
Who would have thought that in a blink of an eye, people’s world changed. Both events were unimaginable, shocking, and beneath decency. Was it really fate? Or was it something else?
