The week started with two tragic events from the Halloween weekend. Their violent natre made me realize how fragile human life can be. Whether tragedy or triumph, life is up to us to make the most of it and not trying to control it. I opt for optimism to hope for the better.
This week also ushered in the month of November. With its seasonal colors decorating the neighborhood, we welcome back the Standard Time and the highly anticipated midterm elections (next Tuesday). Not in my memory has our democracy been so exposed.
But as mentioned, I hope for the better. Democracy is not just voting. It is a process. As long as we adhere to its core principle, I am willing to accept the outcome. Be mindful of misinformation, and don’t believe everything you read in email.
