“Joy to the world . …” just does not sound fitting with Christmas (a reminder from last year). The omicron variant (of the Coronavirus) is adding fuel to the fire and putting fear in people’s thoughts regarding holiday gathering. Be that as it may, I am determined not to let Covid-19 ruin my holidays.
For sure, it is important to spend time with the family during the holidays. Particularly, the pandemic restrictions have us weary and isolated for two years. The support from family and friends at this time would be a big boost, as long as we remember to keep the basics of physical separation, face covering, and hand hygiene in mind.
Certainly, each person/ family has to decide what is appropriate for the occasion. And if there is a will there is a way. How we prepare ourselves reflects our attitude toward life and our adaption. Last year, I chose the option to save the family gathering for next year. Well, now is the next year.
I wish you and your family a safe and joyful holiday season. Don’t let the pandemic take your spirit away.
