Getting Ready for Midterms

The American system of government is failing. Why? The core issue is the breakdown of the checks and balances designed by the Constitution. Simply stated, it’s not working. It took President Trump to push the limits and reveal this painful truth.

The integrity of a government “for the people” demands scrutiny. If the Congress can’t or won’t do its job to rein in the executive overreach, the power must revert back to the people. And the opportunity is fast approaching: midterm elections are in less than a year with all 435 House seats and 35 Senate seats on the ballot, state and local officials notwithstanding.

It’s time for a clean sweep– let’s vote the incumbents out. Whether Republican or Democrats, they are all parts of a system that spiraled into the current gridlock. We must start fresh with a clean slate to regain the control of our government, and to ensure no president can operate without effective oversight.

Do you think a new Congress could effectively curtail the Executive overreach?
