America First?

President Trump’s America First doctrine has put him in the history book. Unfortunately, not in a good way. Foremost, this self-centered policy has rendered a domestic economy that leaves most Americans uneasy and a foreign policy that traded long term alliances for short-term, brutal tactics.

Some say we should be patient. The truth is this strategy isn’t new. It is a continuation from President Trump’s first term. It’s the fifth year of a continued strategy. At this stage, blaming the past is no longer a viable defense. The Trump administration must stand on its own records.

We don’t become first by proclamation. It’s a status we earn through deeds and examples. Unfortunately, this administration has gone the wrong way. As American leadership vanishes from the international stage, the chaos in Gaza, Ukraine, and Venezuela serve as a grim reminder of a flawed, lopsided policy.

So what has the “America First” got us? Are we actually stronger or just more alone?

What do you think?
