Winter Solstice And Me

Folks in the Northern Hemisphere (myself included) experienced winter solstice yesterday.  It was the shortest day (or longest night) of the year, a day embraced by the nocturnal type.  But definitely not me.

Call it seasonal effect or what not.  With the sun disappeared early and the darkness set in, I feel the coldness taking over.  Temperature maybe about the same or one or two degrees off. But to me, without the warmth of the sun, the feeling is truly night and day.

In addition to feeling cold, I get sleepy when the sun shuts its eyes.  A warm bed seems the ideal spot to address the combined effect of coldness and darkness.  Perhaps why some animals hibernate through the winter.  A perfect natural and logical choice to me.

Any tips on dealing with the seasonal effect?
