Week In Review – 26 Aug 2018

Week Nineteen of my Erie Marathon training.  Total miles ran this week: 28.  weight is 147 pounds and resting heart rate 57 beats per minute.  One week to go.

A key strategy in achieving marathon success is race pace.  A good pace will keep the runner in control of and complete the race in time.   Another strategy to improve one’s performance is the pre-race carb loading.   Obviously many options to consider.

For me, I am keeping my thoughts focused on getting myself ready for the big race. With 700 plus miles under my belt, no more additional training will make a difference now.

Nevertheless, sharpening my mental edge, be prepared, and take care of my minivan are the things I can do.

Have a nice week.
