Scratching the itch is a satisfying experience. Just try it, and you will know what I mean. By the same token, it can be quite annoying when an itch persists and not being scratched.
That seems to be what is happening in America — lots of itches, on a collective level, are not being scratched. Which explain why President Biden’s approval rating is at an all-time low.
By the way, people don’t want Mr. Trump either. We’ve had enough and are beyond annoyed, out of patience, and desperately wanting our itches scratched!
While the White House seat is occupied for another two and half years, plenty ambitious politicians are gunning for the job. They are only waiting for the Midterm election to pave their way.
Truth be told, our collective itches can’t be satisfied without us being the willing participants. But right now, the American people are as divided as the Grand Canyon on many issues. It is going to take a miracle or lots of persuasion to unite the country.
Nevertheless, there are no shortage of candidates who say they can deliver on that promises. But we will have to wait and see.
Do you think the Midterm and General elections will be “revenge voting” (i.e., anybody but)?
