Mueller Hearings
It’s hard to miss – former Special Counsel Robert Mueller is in Washington to testify before House Judiciary and Intelligence committees on his 2 years investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election and potential obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump.
“Political theater” has been used as a descriptor of these hearings. But I happen to believe the hearings are democracy in action. After all, American people, via their representatives, has a right to know.
Clearly, beyond shadow of doubt, that Russian government interferes in our elections: has done so in 2016 and will continue in 2020. Whether candidate Trump, an accomplice in this collusion, will be prosecuted, we will have to wait until after he left the White House.
But the fact that Trump left himself open to blackmail [by the Russians] while serving in the capacity as the president of the United States is a character flaw that he had brought unto himself and unfortunately disgraced all of us.
What’s you take on the Mueller hearings?
